We were so close to hiring a perfect admin/office manager when I got the following email from the person making the intro:
called “Meghan” to follow up.
good news: she liked you a lot
bad news: at my suggestion, she looked at our web site and read some of the personal stuff.
i had told her that the culture was a cross between a dot com
, a frat house
and a dorm room
. but she didn’t quite understand what that meant until she saw the photos of a converted garage and people standing on tables.
. she’s not ready for this type of an atmosphere — needs something “more corporate”.
